New Yorker Art Editor Francoise Mouly Talks About Cover Illustration for Money Issue

I am a subscriber to the New Yorker and it is easily my favourite publication. I have learned, over the years, how to keep up with my reading so that they do not build up. Imagine: While magazines are folding left, right and centre, and while newspapers dwindle, the New Yorker, which comes out almost every week, thrives. There is only one reason: excellence.

For the “Money Issue” Art Director Francoise Mouly talks about their decision to do what many publications do: create multiple covers. In their case, the three covers tell a story with the third and last illustrator having the last laugh and creating a twist on what everyone expected.
