Muppets do Bohemian Rhapsody

picture-23

I know my blog is hungry, but as work progresses on my second book, my visits here are few. Thanks for staying with me!

Amongst my many loves are Freddy Mercury and the song Bohemian Rhapsody. As with the story of van Gogh, the tragic life of an artistic genius is magnified by their early loss and, for me. it becomes impossible to separate the story, the artist and the work. Bohemian Rhapsody is, again for me, the majestic achievement of a career and a bold artistic risk. What a guy, is Freddie.

Jim Henson also died young, and his story involves not only innovation and excellence, but children and abundant humour. Kermit and Miss Piggy are iconic,  beloved characters as rich to my soul as many living artist. This video combines many, many extremely talented artists who wrote, performed and created the music and the stunning characters actors and puppet craftspersons who populate the video and the filmmakers who conceived of this performance and recorded it.
